Alexandra Bras, PhD, works as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Viralgen.
She has extensive knowledge of cell biology, immunology and cancer after dedicating 20 years to cell biology and cancer research. After earning her PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Immunology) by the University of Porto, with research work done mainly at the National Center of Biotechnology (CNB) at University Autonoma of Madrid, she continued her post-doctoral research at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. She then moved back to Spain and worked as Staff Scientist at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO).
Finally, she moved to US and transitioned to the industry as Consultant Science Project Management. As a consultant, she was involved in coordinating preclinical studies, timelines for product development and clinical research, and preparation of pre-INDs and INDs applications to the FDA.
In 2021 she joined Viralgen Regulatory Affairs team as CMC writer and coordinator and having roles of project management, supporting interaction and liaison with Customers for CMC preparation and programs for development of preclinical and clinical drug candidates.
